Published: August 22, 2019
Ahead of the September 14 kick-off of the 2019 Bet9ja Royal Cup in Delta State, Free Tigers FC of Udu have landed a long term shirt endorsement deal with POP TAXI, a new on-demand cab hailing and ride-sharing app service in Nigeria managed by Kabbu Technologies Limited.
The Chief Executive Officer of POP TAXI, Nyemike Okonkwo, said they are delighted with the deal and partnering with free Tigers FC is their own way to give back to the society and encourage youths to work hard towards achieving their dreams through grassroots sports.
Okonkwo noted that Free Tigers FC would be fully kitted for all grassroots football tournaments in Nigeria with jerseys and tracksuits with the POP TAXI name and logo proudly embedded on them.
"We are happy to have struck this deal", Okonkwo said.
" Entering this partnership with Free Tigers FC is our way of giving back to the society and encouraging youth to work hard towards achieving their dreams through grassroots sports".
"Free Tigers FC will be fully kitted for all grassroots competitions in the country with jersey and tracksuits branded with our name" he added.
Okonkwo stated that POP TAXI is safe and they are dedicated to providing solutions to the myriads of transport and movement challenges in the continent, saying that both users and drivers on their service are covered by comprehensive insurance and HMO services.
Responding, the chairman of Free Tigers FC, Tega Okorogri, said the club is pleased by the opportunity offered by the partnership with POP TAXI, adding that they are more determined than ever to be among the best grassroots football clubs in Nigeria.
Free Tigers FC will officially unveil their POP TAXI branded jerseys and tracksuits during the Bet9ja Royal Cup qualifiers in September.
Free Tigers will lock horns with other teams in the qualifying matches in Udu Local Government Area for a place in the group stage of the Bet9ja Royal Cup grassroots soccer showpiece.
