Glasgow Rangers Rising Star Likens Himself To Manchester City's Raheem Sterling
Promising Nigeria-eligible winger Dapo Mebude has the talent to break into the Glasgow Rangers first team in the coming years.

Last season, the 18-year-old was registered by Rangers for the group stage of the Europa League and made his senior debut off the bench in a 2-1 loss to Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership on May 19, 2019.

In a recent Twitter question and answer session with Rangers supporters, he likened himself to Manchester City and England star Raheem Sterling

Asked by Euan the player his playing style is similar to, Mebude answered : ''When I play as a winger I try and be direct and score goals like Raheem Sterling. He is fast, direct and a similar build to me so I would say him. ''

On the player he looks up to the most in the Rangers first team, he said : ''I would say Jermain Defoe. He plays in my position, he has helped me a lot and is easy to learn from. He has done it all in the game. He helps me out quite a lot''.

Born in London, Mebude is a Scotland youth international and has caps for their U17, U18 and U19 teams.

In his last appearance for Scotland U19s on Monday, he enhanced his growing reputation by scoring a brace against Japan in a friendly.
