Tottenham Hotspur Defender Set To Break A Nigerian Record Held By Ex-Chelsea Star Aina
Tottenham Hotspur have registered Timothy Eyoma, Kion Etete and Joshua Oluwayemi for the group stage of the UEFA Youth League which begins on Tuesday, September 17.

Ryan Mason's side begin their campaign against Olympiakos Piraeus at Stadio Peristeriou in Athens, starting from 1300 hours on Wednesday.

With twenty appearances under their belts each, Spurs central defender Eyoma and Chelsea Academy product Ola Aina hold the record for most games played by a Nigeria-eligible footballer in the UEFA Youth League.

Tomorrow, Eyoma can overtake Aina in the standings if he spends a second on the pitch against Olympiakos as he would move on to 21 appearances.

Eyoma played five games for Spurs during the 2016-2017 season, seven the following season and eight last season.

The England youth international has failed to progress beyond the quarterfinal of the UEFA Youth League with Spurs while the inactive Aina won it twice with Chelsea in 2015 and 2016.
