'A New Legend Is Born' - Arsenal Fans React As New Darling Of Emirates Makes Full EPL Debut
Published: September 22, 2019Arsenal fans were surprised to see Bukayo Saka named in the starting line-up by manager Unai Emery against Aston Villa on Sunday evening.
The 18-year-old produced a man of the match display against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League on Thursday and Emery was pleased to hand the winger his full Premier League debut.
Saka was replaced at the break and the Gunners managed to earn maximum points as it ended 3-2 thanks to goals from Pepe, Calum Chambers and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who scored a sublime free-kick in the 84th minute.
Here are some of the fans reactions to Saka's first Premier League start on Twitter:
@Lacazest: "Wishing Saka all the best in his first Premier League start for Arsenal! No doubt in my mind he can absolutely tear it up today! Only just turned 18 years old... "
@ltarsenal: "Nice to see Saka rewarded with a start. But.... Why is Ozil on the bench despite not traveling and why is Sokratis starting ahead of Chambers ffssssss"
@cindie_makau : ''Saka needs to start in the next 3 games and he'll do wonders. Pepe, however is hopeless.''
@WillyLanister : ''We take the 3points.....BUT huge improvements are needed. Defensive drills should be prioritized in training. We need to know our best midfield pairings ASAP. Saka shouldn't return to the Reserve team''.
@IgweLDN : ''I really really like Saka aswell man he actually was Arsenal’s best player in the first half.''
@ItzArsenal420 : ''Feel sorry for Saka today, not his fault and he played well for the time he got''.
@ArsenalBach : ''Saka was good''.
@theJON_TRON : ''Shame Saka getting yanked. One of very few bright spots from the first half''.
