Arsenal defeated Aston Villa 3-2 on Sunday evening on Match day 6 of the English Premier League after going down to a goal and one man down as Ainsley Maitland-Niles was handed two yellow cards.
Young England international with Nigerian heritage Bukayo Saka started his first league game but was substituted off in the second half for Calum Chambers due to the Gunners playing with 10 men.
Allnigeriasoccer.com captures the ratings of some English websites and blogs that rated the Arsenal players.
The4thofficial.com handed the winger a slightly above average rating.
"Bukayo Saka 6."
"It was an unfortunate Premier League debut for young Saka, whose time on the pitch was cut short due to Maitland-Niles' red card. He didn't influence the game much in the first half, though."
For Footballnetworks.net, it is also a 6/10 for the youngster.
"Saka - 6. I thought he was our only player who turned up in the first half and should feel unlucky to have been subbed at half time."
"Saka 6."
"I thought he was very unfortunate to be substituted, I understand why but based on contribution it was undeserved but then he never cost £72 Million," writes JustArsenal.com.
Popular blog dedicated to the club, Arsenal Station went a nodge further with a 6.5 rating of the winger whom Nigerians hope will someday represent the Nigerian senior national team.
"Saka 6.5/10. Great to see him start in the league and he was one of our better performers in a the first half. He showed no fear, always wanted the ball and went close with a long-range effort. Harshly hauled off at the break after we went down to 10-men,"
Saka could also be handed a start on Tuesday in the Carabao Cup against Nottingham Forest.
