Ndidi Beats Brazil Star To Premier League Top Tackler Honours For Matchday 7
Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has been named the top tackler in the English Premier for matchday seven by football statistics website Whoscored.com.

The Nigeria international registered nine tackles in The Foxes' 5-0 hammering of Newcastle United on Sunday, September 29, eight less than the entire tackles completed by the entire Magpies squad.

There's a four-way tie for the second position, with Richarlison (Everton), Luka Milivojevic (Crystal Palace), Declan Rice (West Ham United) and Jan Bednarek (Southampton) who represent Brazil, Serbia, England and Poland respectively finishing with six tackles each in the latest round of games.

Ndidi has been top tackler in the Premier League for two successive seasons and was the top tackler and interceptor combined (32) at this summer's Africa Cup of Nations.

In other categories for game week seven, Willian had the most shots (6), Diego Rico most key passes (6), Seamus Coleman most dribbles (8), Declan Rice most interceptions (6) and Willy Boly most clearances (9).

Virgil van Dijk and his Liverpool teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold were the stats leaders for aerial duels won (11) and accurate passes (98), while Brighton's Mat Ryan made the most saves (8).
