Exciting Winger Bukayo Saka Set To Sign New Contract At Arsenal
Published: October 11, 2019
Exciting winger Bukayo Saka is poised to sign a new contract at Premier League club Arsenal, according to reports.
The Mirror says the England U19 international of Nigerian descent is set to pen a new contract which would elevate his status.
Saka is inching closer to getting promoted to the Gunners first team on a full-time basis, having started their last three Premier League games against Aston Villa, Manchester United and Bournemouth.
The Hale End Academy product signed scholarship forms with Arsenal in July 2018 along with goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo and Ryan Alebiousu, before penning his first professional contract two months later after celebrating his 17th birthday.
Although he is eligible to feature in the U18 Premier League, he is beyond that level, and has trained with the first team on numerous occasions this season.
Despite his remarkable progress at the Emirates Stadium outfit, he is not in the first team dressing room at Arsenal's London Colney training ground and has to be invited before he is allowed to be with the big boys.
Saka joined Arsenal's Hale End Academy at the age of eight.
