Confirmed : Huddersfield Town Loan Out Versatile Nigerian Midfielder
Published: October 16, 2019Championship club Huddersfield Town have confirmed that versatile Nigerian midfielder Tim Akinola has joined Northern Premier League Division One North West club Brighouse Town F.C.
The agreement between both clubs will keep the 18-year-old at Town until November 9 inclusive.
Akinola made his debut for Brighouse Town in a 2-1 win against Tadcaster Albion on Tuesday night.
This is his first loan move away from Huddersfield Town since joining the club in June 2019 following a successful trial.
Predominantly a box-to-box midfielder, he has the ability to play on the wing and can also be deployed as a right-back.
Before his summer switch to the Terriers, the teenager made Lincoln City's matchday 18 when they faced Accrington in the second round of last season's EFL Trophy and also featured for the Imps in the FA Youth Cup.
Akinola's contract with Huddersfield Town runs until the summer of 2020, with the club having an option on a further year's extension.
