Lille Transfer Guru Speaks On The Future Of Barcelona-Linked Striker Osimhen
Published: October 18, 2019Lille Sporting Director Luis Campos has admitted that the Ligue 1 club face a tough task to keep hold of Victor Osimhen after a brilliant start to his career in France.
The Nigeria international has been linked with a possible move to Barcelona, who are combing the market for a striker to replace the aging Luis Suárez.
Only yesterday, Osimhen was named as the Ligue 1 Player of the Month for September 2019 after scoring two goals and providing two others last month.
Speaking to RMC Sport, Campos said : ''When you are a club like Lille, it is difficult to keep hold of a striker who scores goals… we’ll be under assault… if he continues like this.
''It is normal, in the way football currently is… Like all the players who have arrived at Lille in this project, the idea is to continue to help them to improve, for them to help the club and the team to improve in turn.''
Osimhen joined Lille from Sporting Charleroi in August 2019 for a fee in the region of twelve million euros.
