Nigerian Striker Scores First Goal In 20 Months As Leicester City Thrash Southampton U23s
Nigerian striker Josh Eppiah registered his name on the scoresheet as Leicester City thrashed Southampton 3-0 in a Premier League 2 clash at Holmes Park on Friday evening.

Eppiah has returned from a long-term back injury that saw him miss the whole of the 2018-2019 season and yesterday's game against the Saints was his fifth appearance this term.

The Foxes led through goals from Thakgalo Leshabela and Callum Wright before Eppiah came off the bench as replacement for Muskwe on 62 minutes.

And he made a key impact when he came on, scoring a fine individual goal after stealing the ball from a Southampton defender in the 88th minute.

It was Eppiah's first goal in Leicester City colours since he found the net against Arsenal U23s on February 19, 2018.

Highly-rated Nigerian left-back Calvin Ughelumba played the last six minutes for coach Steve Beaglehole's side.
