Nigeria Football Federation Target Signs New Contract With Chelsea To Fend Off Interest From Arsenal
Published: November 20, 2019
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Nigeria Football Federation target Prince Shakiru Adegoke has agreed a new contract with English Premier League club Chelsea.
The promising goalkeeper was one of the outstanding teenagers offered a scholarship by Chelsea this past week.
And he will no longer take football as a hobby but an occupation after signing a scholarship with the Stamford Bridge outfit.
The new agreement between club and player will be activated on July 1, 2020, just before the start of the 2020-2021 season.
The likes of Arsenal, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bournemouth had been exploring ways to sign the exciting netminder before he inked a new contract with The Blues.
Adegoke has made inroads since joining Chelsea from the U12 team of non-league club Langley FC in April 2016, rising through the ranks before making the matchday squad for an U18 Premier League fixture in May 2018.
He was invited to a Golden Eaglets training camp in August 2019 ahead of the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup.
