New Name Crops Up On Fenerbahce Shopping List As Replacement For Chelsea-Owned Winger Moses
Published: November 26, 2019
Turkish Super Lig powerhouse Fenerbahce have started preparing for life without Victor Moses, with a return to parent club Chelsea being mooted in the January transfer window.
Nigeria skipper Ahmed Musa was earlier identified as a possible replacement for the former Crystal Palace wonderkid but a new name has cropped up on Fenerbahce's shopping list.
According to Turkish newspaper Milliyet, Fenerbahce manager Ersun Yanal wants the club to sign Istanbul Basaksehir's Bosnia and Herzegovina winger Edin Visca.
The Yellow Canaries attempted to acquire Visca in the summer transfer window but were unsuccessful.
Signed on loan from Chelsea in the January transfer window, Moses has struggled to make an impact since returning from a thigh injury he suffered on the opening day of the 2019-2020 season.
In the event he returns to Stamford Bridge in January, the Nigerian could be shipped out on loan again as Callum Hudson-Odoi, Christian Pulisic, Willian and Pedro are presently ahead of him in manager Frank Lampard's pecking order of wingers.
Moses has a contract with the Europa League holders until the end of next season.
