Lazio Chief Hails Adekanye As Ex-Liverpool Starlet Bags Assist On Full Professional Debut
Lazio Sporting Director Igli Tare is impressed by the qualities of Bobby Adekanye after making his full professional debut for the Italian club in a 1-0 win over CFR Cluj in the Europa League on Thursday night.

All eyes were on the former Liverpool starlet at the Stadio Olimpico (Roma) and he didn't disappoint, providing the assist for the only goal of the game scored by Joaquin Correa in the 24th minute.

The Argentina international received a headed pass from Adekanye before beating the goalkeeper from a tight angle.

The Nigeria-born winger opted not to sign a contract extension with Liverpool in the summer due to a lack of first team opportunities at the European champions before sealing a move to Lazio.

Speaking to reporters, Tare said : ''He is a young player, we are not in a hurry. He has a five-year contract, we have to add him slowly.

''He has learned the language, these experiences like those of tonight will help him a lot. He has interesting features.''

The 20-year-old Adekanye made two substitute appearances for Lazio before he started a game for the first time in his career against the Romanian team.
