Published: November 29, 2019
Nigerian winger Bukayo Saka is set to get a new head coach at Arsenal after the club confirmed they have parted company with Spanish football tactician Unai Emery on Friday morning.
After a poor run in the English Premier League, the last straw that broke the camel's back was Thursday night's 2-1 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League and the powers that be at the Emirates Stadium outfit had to dismiss the former PSG and Sevilla manager.
Emery handed Saka his professional debut against Vorskla Poltava exactly a year ago and the teenage winger has gone on to make 15 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal with four assists to his name.
In a statement on behalf of the club, Josh Kroenke said to arsenal.com : ''Our most sincere thanks go to Unai and his colleagues who were unrelenting in their efforts to get the club back to competing at the level we all expect and demand.
''We wish Unai and his team nothing but future success.''
Gunners legend Freddie Ljungberg will coach the the team on an interim basis while the club search for a new head coach.
