Turkish Champions Galatasaray On Brink Of Deal For Nigeria International Striker
Turkish champions Galatasaray are confident of clinching the signing of former Everton striker Henry Onyekuru in the January transfer window, according to various reports in Turkey.

Hurriyet says Onyekuru's intermediary William D'avilla traveled to Istanbul for contract talks with Galatasaray higher-ups two days ago and reached an agreement on the terms of the contract at the end of negotiations.

The 22-year-old had attracted interest from Russian and Spanish clubs but has indicated that he wants to return to Galatasaray, where he spent the whole of the 2018-2019 season on loan.

He joined Monaco in August 2019 but has struggled to replicate his form from last season since his arrival.

Last term, the Super Eagles star scored 16 goals in 44 games across all competitions for Galatasaray and produced six assists, helping the club win the Super Lig and Türkiye Kupasi.

Regarding the terms of the proposed contract with Galatasaray, a loan deal has been mooted for the former Eupen starlet.

Onyekuru has a contract with Monaco until June 30, 2024 and has not featured for the Principality club since September 21 despite recovering from a hamstring injury.
