Arsenal have included five players of Nigerian descent on their roster for the U20 International Cup Bali 2019 which started on Sunday morning, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The U20 teams of the Gunners, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Indonesia All-Stars will participate in the tournament which will run until December 7.
Defenders Daniel Oyegoke and Mazeed Ogungbo, midfielder Miguel Azeez, wingers Ryan Alebiosu and Nathan Butler-Oyedeji were part of the travel roster to Indonesia.
Oyegoke and Azeez have caps for England youth teams and Ogungbo became provisionally cap-tied to the Republic of Ireland during last month's international break, against Switzerland in an U19 EURO qualifier.
The likes of Bukayo Saka, James Olayinka, Folarin Balogun, Tobi Omole and Arthur Okonkwo are age-eligible to represent Arsenal in the U20 International Cup but have stayed back in the English capital.
The five players of Nigerian descent started for Arsenal as they suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Indonesia All-Stars in their opener this morning.
The tournament was organised by the Indonesian Football Federation to help their U19 team compete with the promising young talents of the world ahead of the FIFA U20 World Cup 2021 to be hosted by Indonesia.
