Chelsea, Tottenham, Leicester, West Ham Linked With Move For Nigeria-Eligible Dazzler
Published: December 01, 2019
At least four Premier League clubs are interested in signing Queens Park Rangers' Nigeria-eligible dazzler Eberechi Eze.
According to Sun Sport, Chelsea, Leicester City and West Ham are among the clubs regularly watching the midfielder in action with a view to a transfer as from the January transfer window.
Tottenham Hotspur had been leading the race to sign the former Super Eagles invitee but the proposed move could be scuppered following the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino last month.
It has been suggested that new Spurs boss Jose Mourinho has no immediate plans to bolster the squad even though the North London club have made money available for him to sign new players in January, meaning the transfer of Eze may not be feasible again until next summer.
Regarded as an exceptional talent, Eze has been Queens Park Rangers standout player so far this season, contributing to 11 goals (7 goals, 4 assists) in 19 Championship starts.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder is rated in the region of 20 million pounds (approximately N9.24 billion in Nigerian currency).
An England U21 international, Eze recently held talks with the Nigeria Football Federation over committing his international future to the three-time African champions.
