Why January Loan Move Would Be Good For Chelsea Midfielder Faustino Anjorin
Published: December 03, 2019
Chelsea's Anglo-Nigerian teenage sensation, Faustino Anjorin has had to bide his time at Stamford Bridge since breaking through the youth ranks at the club.
The versatile midfielder has since earned his senior bow for Frank Lampard's youthful side, starring in a big League Cup victory over Grimsby Town but then the plethora of flank and midfield options at the club had somewhat stunted his progress with the first team.
He's already a household name in the youth tier of the English Premier League and is an established member of Andrew Myers's team for Chelsea's U-23s, a significant pointer to his staggering talents.
Despite his heroics and goal scoring exploits for the young Blues in their UEFA Youth League adventure this season, they ultimately failed to secure a passage to the next round of the prestigious tournament, and it could only mean it is high time he moves to a club where he gets a chance to hone his skills playing senior football.
Anjorin can be a huge asset to many Championship clubs, with his blistering pace and ability to run at and take on markers in quick bursts, and chip in his ability to cut into opposition boxes and bury efforts with curlers and any team interested in his services will surely be getting a player tailor-made for the English game.
Yet, a temporary move away from Stamford Bridge will do his career a lot of good, as what he needs at the moment is a stint with a senior team to help put himself back into reckoning at the club.
His exploits in the English youth division speak volumes of his quality and the prospect of getting a player on the cusp of breaking into a senior team like Chelsea brightens up his chances and should make him a toast of many big clubs.
