Super Eagles playmaker Alex Iwobi was in action for 90 minutes on Saturday evening as Everton defeated Chelsea 3-1 under caretaker manager Duncan Ferguson which was Iwobi's 14th Premier League game of the season.
However despite his industry the Nigerian failed to register a goal in the emphatic win thereby extending his run of matches without a goal in all competitions to 14.
Meanwhile the Liverpool Echo rated Iwobi a decent 6/10 for his performance against the Blues that paraded Nigerian by blood England international Tammy Abraham but not Fikayo Tomori his teammate also born of a Nigerian father.
"Alex Iwobi - 6.
" (Iwobi) Was a little sloppy in possession on occasion which he will be disappointed with, but the winger stuck to his task expertly, staying wide to stretch the Chelsea defence and get himself in dangerous position on a regular basis," the Liverpool Echo wrote about the former Arsenal winger.
