Former Liverpool captain Graeme Souness had nothing but praise for Wilfred Ndidi and two of his teammates in the wake of Leicester City's 4-1 road win against Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday, labeling the Nigeria international a clever passer.
Last season, Ndidi finished as Leicester City's pass master, completing 1,984 passes and is close to exceeding 800 passes (793 passes in 15 matches) for the 2019-2020 season.
Souness has been impressed by Ndidi, Tielemans and Maddison, and reckons that the midfield combination is one of the best in the world.
Speaking to Sky Sports (via Goal.com), Souness said : ''I would suggest that Tielemans, Ndidi and Maddison, those three in midfield are as good as any three out there.
''The blend of them, the hard work, clever passing from Ndidi and Tielemans, and Maddison — he is a real craftsman.
''Extremely impressive.''
Named top tackler in the Premier League for the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 seasons, Ndidi has made 69 tackles so far this season and only Leicester City teammate Ricardo Pereira with 70 has racked up more tackles in the 2019-2020 campaign.
