Official : U17 World Cup Winner Lukman Haruna Joins Armenian Club
Published: December 13, 2019Through a press release published via Facebook, Armenian Premier League club FC Ararat Yerevan have announced the signing of Nigeria international Lukman Haruna.
The financial terms and length of contract signed by the attacking midfielder have not been disclosed by the club.
Haruna came to prominence after helping the Golden Eaglets win the 2007 FIFA U17 World Cup and earned a celebrated move to Ligue 1 moneybags Monaco after the tournament in South Korea.
The 29-year-old used to share the same agent as John Obi Mikel before parting company with the influential English-based intermediary (John Shittu).
He was on the books of Dynamo Kiev for six years after leaving Monaco in 2011, and spent time on loan at
Hoverla Uzhhorod, Anzhi Makhachkala and Astana during his time with the Ukrainian Premier League side.

Haruna's other clubs include Palanga (Lithuania) and Moderate Stars Academy, where he started off his career.
After 15 rounds in the Armenian Premier League, FC Ararat Yerevan are yet to earn a single point.
