(Photo) Talented Nigerian Striker Begins Trials With Chelsea
Published: December 14, 2019
Highly-rated Nigerian striker Bryan Fiabema started training with Premier League club Chelsea this week with a view to signing a contract as from the January transfer window, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
On December 6, the Court of Arbitration for Sport reduced Chelsea's transfer ban to one window, so they are permitted to sign new players in January 2020.
Born to a Nigerian father and Norwegian mother, Fiabema will be hoping to catch the eyes of the youth team coaches during his trial period with The Blues.
It is understood that several European clubs have cast their eyes over the promising young talents in Norwegian football and Fiabema is one of the players they are interested in acquiring.
He is the youngest ever player of Nigerian parentage to debut in the Norwegian Tippeligaen , aged 16 years, 4 months and 28 days.
The Tromso wonderkid became provisionally cap-tied to Norway after featuring in a European U17 Championship qualifier against Bulgaria on October 17, 2019 and three days later he netted his first hat-trick for that age group in an 8-0 hammering of Malta.
