Leicester City and Nigeria defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will not be sold to Arsenal in the aftermath of the return of now former Manchester City assistant coach Mikel Arteta to Arsenal as head coach if Leicester City fans have their way.
Ndidi has been the subject of interest from a few English sides since his 2017 move from Belgian side Genk which include the Gunners.
Now, with a transfer out of the club circling around Granit Xhaka who has been linked in the English press with a move to Hertha Berlin in the German Bundesliga coached by Jurgen Klinsmann, Ndidi is seen by some sections of the media is an ideal fit for Arsenal.
According to Leicester Mecury making reference to Brila Media on Friday the Gunners will sanction a £40 million plus Xhaka offer for the Nigerian who has played in all but one Premier League match this season.
In their responses to Leicester Mercury's report on the story a number of Leicester fans made their feelings known.
Mark Goodarce said: "40 million plus Granit Xhaka - its nearly new year not April 1st."
Gez Flowers simply said: "No chance!"
A respondent indicated that he would not consider Granit Xhaka as part of a deal taking Ndidi to Arsenal
"I would rather just take the 40 mill and not bother with Xhaka if we had to sell,' the Leicester fan with the name Chris Hardy explained.
Kabil Lawal Sara added: "Note for sale."
Arsenal are not expected to sign players in January unless necessitated by the spate of injuries in the team.
