Bayern Munich's Nigeria-Eligible Goal Machine On The Radar Of Real Madrid, Barcelona?
Published: December 23, 2019
Bayern Munich striker of Nigerian descent Joshua Zirkzee is reportedly attracting interest from the two biggest Spanish clubs, Real Madrid and Barcelona, few days before the transfer window opens for business.
Sports Mole citing reports in Spain claims Los Blancos and Blaugrana have identified the Netherlands youth international as a future transfer target.
Bayern Munich interim boss Hansi Flick is now under pressure to hand more first team opportunities to Zirkzee after coming off the bench to score in back-to-back games against SC Freiburg and Wolfsburg last week.
Before joining Bayern Munich in 2017, several Premier League clubs including Everton, Manchester United and Arsenal tried to acquire him without success.
Zirkzee made his first team debut for the Bavarians in a Champions League match against Tottenham Hotspur on December 11, coming on to replace Ivan Perisic with four minutes remaining.
The 18-year-old racked up 44 goals for Bayern Munich's youth teams before earning a first team promotion a month ago.
His contract with the German champions runs out in JuneĀ 2023
