Club Brugge Winger Okereke Sets The Record Straight On Identity Of Genuine Agent
Published: January 08, 2020
Club Brugge star, David Okereke, has said that his attention has been drawn to an online publication that he is being sued for an alleged breach of contract and denied signing any contract with the claimant, Henry Ajamah, to manage him.
Ajamah, a football agent, had approached a Lagos High Court for an alleged breach of contract suing Okereke in the process.
The Nigeria U-23 International, Okereke, who spoke through a telephone interview, said Patrick Bastianelli, is his agent and not Ajamah.
"I was a minor in 2014, how would I have signed a professional contract then and Ajamah is not a football club to sign me.
"I signed my first professional contract with Spezia FC of Italy in January 2016 at this time I have the liberty under the law to decide for myself who is to manage me, " Okereke said.
Respected Italian intermediary Bastianelli used to look after Odion Ighalo on behalf of Atta Aneke while the striker was playing for Udinese.

The former Spezia starlet said many of the claims by Ajamah in the said publication are false and asked Nigerians to disregard him.
Okereke said he has directed his legal team to sue Ajamah for assassination of character and for putting his career at risk with his falsehood.
The Dream Team VII star said Ajamah has collected nothing less than N2.5m in batches as compensation while he was in Spezia of Italy.
