The duo of Isaac Success and Tom Dele-Bashiru were not in the Hornets squad that faced Jose Mourinho's side.
At the Emirates stadium, Arsenal were held 1-1 by Sheffield United after leading at halftime.
Bukayo Saka who started for Arsenal at left-back was involved in his side's opener as his deflected cross into the middle finding Gabriel Martinelli who arrived just in time to turn home at the back post, but John Fleck scored a late equaliser to gift United a point.
Elsewhere at the Amex Stadium, Brighton and Aston Villa played out a 1-1 draw.
Leandro Trossard gave the hosts a first half lead but Jack Grealish leveled matters with 15 minutes left on the clock.
Leon Balogun remains out of favour for the Seagulls and was not in the match day squad.
Let's go to Carrow Road where Norwich beat Bournemouth 1-0 in an ill-tempered clash.
Teemu Pukki's first-half penalty was all that separated the two sides after the ninety.
While Adam Idah was not listed in his side's 18, Philip Billing started and went the distance for the Cherries, Dominic Solanke was introduced from the bench for Jefferson Lerma after 78 minutes but Jordan Ibe was missing for the visitors.
Over to the St Mary's and it was a game of two halves as Wolves came from behind to record an impressive 3-2 win over Southampton.
The Saints led by two goals at the break courtesy of Jan Bednarek and Shane Long, but Wolves turned the game on it's head on resumption thanks to a brace from Raul Jimenez and Pedro Neto
Owen Otasowie was not included in the travelling squad for Wolves.
And finally, it was no victor, no vanquished at the London Stadium, as West Ham and Everton nullified themselves.
Issa Diop headed his team ahead after 40 minutes but Dominic Calvert-Lewin restored parity just before halftime.
We start off at the Vicarage Road where Watford and Tottenham shared spoils in a goalless affair in the division's early kick-off.
