Published: January 22, 2020
Southampton are interested in signing Nigerian-born winger Bright Osayi-Samuel, according to reports.
Football Insider claims The Saints are among the English Premier League clubs keeping tabs on the Queens Park Rangers young star with a view to a transfer this month.
Allnigeriasoccer.com can report with certainty that Osayi-Samuel attracted genuine interest from Manchester United during his time with Blackpool, before Queens Park Rangers convinced him to join the club in September 2017.
The 22-year-old, who has bags of potential, has put himself in the shop window following a string of fine performances for Queens Park Rangers this year, contributing to four goals (3 goals, 1 assist) in his last four matches in all competitions.
Osayi-Samuel's current deal with Rangers runs out at the end of the 2019-2020 season but the
club have the option to extend the agreement by another year.
It has been suggested that Southampton want to bolster their attacking options with the signing of Osayi-Samuel and plan to resell him for a profit in the future.
