Published: January 22, 2020With a statement on their official website, Czech Republic Fortuna Liga side MFK Karviná have announced the signing of former Nigeria U23 international Abdulraham Taiwo.
The striker, whose parent club is FC DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda in Slovakia, has joined MFK Karviná on loan for the remainder of the 2019-2020 season.
Taiwo will fly with his new teammates at MFK Karviná for a training camp in Turkey on Wednesday.
Speaking on his new signing, manager Juraj Jarábek said : "Once we realized there was a chance to get him, we started to act. Sports director Lubomir Vlk did a good job.
"I know Taiwo from the Slovak league, moreover he belongs to the team from the top three. He already showed great potential in Nitra, so he was bought by Dunajská Streda.
"I think he is a very interesting player with good statistics for us."
Taiwo was named in Nigeria's provisional squad for the 2016 Olympic Games and represented the Dream Team at the Suwon Invitational Tournament, where he netted a brace against Denmark after coming off the bench.
