Official : Nigeria International Center Back Joins Kazakhstani Club Tobol Kostanay
Published: January 22, 2020Kazakhstan Premier League club Tobol Kostanay have completed the signing of Nigeria international center back Stephen Eze, informs the club's official website.
The financial terms and duration of contract signed by the free agent have not been disclosed by Tobol Kostanay.
Eze was an influential member of the Super Eagles team that reached the final of the 2018 African Nations Championship and was an unused substitute when the three-time African champions faced Poland, Serbia and Democratic of Congo in pre-World Cup friendlies that same year.
The 25-year-old lists Lobi Stars, Sunshine Stars, Ifeanyi Ubah and Kano Pillars amongst the former clubs he represented in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
He made 65 appearances for his last club Lokomotiv Plovdiv, with 57 of them coming in the Bulgarian First League.
The central defender has games under his belt in the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Europa League.
