'He Was Excellent' - Leicester City Coach Hails Performance Of Ndidi In Win Vs West Ham
Leicester City coach Brendan Rodgers hailed the performance of Wilfred Ndidi in his side's 4-1 win against West Ham in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

The Nigeria national-teamer made a miraculous recovery from a meniscus operation to be named in the matchday 18 and the initial plan was to introduce him off the bench in the second half.

With Nampalys Mendy suffering an injury in the 34th minute, Ndidi was called up as a replacement for the holding midfielder.

"It's remarkable, really. We were thinking he could only play 25-30 minutes,'' Rodgers told reporters after the game at the King Power Stadium.

"He is genetically blessed and he recovered very, very well. And he was excellent."

Leicester City failed to win any of their three matches during Ndidi's spell on the sidelines, losing to Southampton and Burnley in the Premier League and playing a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa in the semifinal of the Carabao Cup.
