Finnish Veikkausliiga champions Kuopion Palloseura have pulled off a transfer coup with the signing of Nigerian striker Aniekpeno Udoh, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

The 23-year-old was among the three new players unveiled by KuPS on Friday, the others being Norwegian defender Mats Haakenstad and Portuguese winger Bruno Rodrigues.

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the Nigerian inked a one-year contract with KuPS with an option for an additional year.

Subject to the issuance of an International Transfer Certificate, Udoh is in line to make his competitive debut in Saturday afternoon's Suomen Cup match against Haka.

Udoh scored an impressive 18 goals in 27 league matches over the course of the 2019 season for Ljungskile and produced seven assists, ending the campaign as the second top scorer in the Swedish Ettan Södra.

Before his move to Ljungskile, he represented Norwegian clubs Viking and Levanger FK, and Akwa United in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

Udoh is in line to get his first taste of European football in the qualifying rounds of the 2020-2021 Champions League.
