Chelsea Midfielder Anjorin Scores A Second Half Brace Against Everton PL2
Chelsea's Nigerian starlet Faustino Anjorin turned on the style for the club's U-23s in their 2-2 draw with Everton at Haig Avenue on Friday night, scoring twice in the encounter.

Alongside Tariq Uwakwe, Chelsea U-23 manager Andrew Myers handed starts to the duo in Southport, while Dennis Adeniran was on from start to finish for the hosts.

Few seconds after the resumption of the second period, the fleet-footed midfielder closed down Toffees defender Lewis Gibson, robbing him of the ball before advancing to pick out the bottom corner with an exquisite finish, a goal which restored parity as Sebastian Quirk's opener had Everton ahead.

And the 18-year-old was on hand to double his side's advantage two minutes past the hour mark from the spot, after Uwakwe was fouled by skipper Feeney Morgan in the area.

Thus, Anjorin is having a remarkable season, by every stretch, as his brace tonight took his goal tally to nine in all competitions for the club's youth teams.

Since earning his senior team debut at Stamford Bridge, the youngster has found first-team duties hard to come by due to his standing on the pecking order, and had been tipped for a temporary move in search of senior opportunities.

Though Anthony Evans penalty secured a share of the spoils for Everton, the Blues remain top of the PL2 and are still unbeaten.
