Inter Milan Great Taribo West Highlights Qualities Of Moses; Rates Lukaku Higher Than Icardi

Inter Milan legend Taribo West has highlighted the qualities of new signing from Chelsea, Victor Moses, saying Antonio Conte has signed a player with proven pedigree.

Atlanta Olympics gold medalist, West wore the black and blues colours of Inter Milan for two years, arriving the club as the most expensive defender in the world, and went on to play 64 games for The Nerazzurri.

In quotes carried by FCInterNews via Italian sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport, West said : "From here I follow the team almost every week. And I look at the market: the club is building a strong team. Moses was needed, he will be able to make the difference."

When asked what Moses will bring to the Inter Milan squad, the former Nigeria defender answered : "Experience and mentality: he wore heavy jerseys and won at Chelsea, with Conte.

"He wanted it, it is no coincidence. Furthermore, on a technical level, he is not the latest arrival: he has a good foot, he is fast and he scores. His purchase is good news for Nigeria and the African continent in general."

West had good words to say about former Manchester United and Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku and rates the Belgian higher than Mauro Icardi, who has been loaned out to Paris Saint-Germain for the season.

Asked to pick the better player between Lukaku and Icardi, he said : "Good question. Strong both, but I choose Romelu: an international footballer, he scored an avalanche of goals in his career. He can be decisive for the title".

Moses has been included in Inter Milan's matchday squad for their Serie A match against Cagliari this afternoon but the right wing-back has been named on the bench.
