(Photo) Feyenoord Sign Skillful Nigerian Left-back Likened To David Alaba
Published: January 28, 2020Allnigeriasoccer.com has been told that Dutch Eredivisie giants Feyenoord Rotterdam have pulled off a transfer coup with the signing of skillful Nigerian left-back Hakeem Agboluaje.
The 1970 European champions extensively scouted the 2007-born player for several months before convincing him to join the club.
Agboluaje was courted by almost all the top professional clubs in the Netherlands prior to his move to Feyenoord.
Predominantly a left-back who is also comfortable playing in the wing-back role, he has the same playing style as Bayern Munich's Austria star of Nigerian descent, David Alaba.
Agboluaje has a famous sibling - Bobby Adekanye who wore the colours of Barcelona and Liverpool youth teams before joining Lazio last summer.
The 12-year-old has joined Feyenoord from Alphense Boys and was previously at Ajax Amsterdam.
Accompanied by his dad, Agboluaje visited Nigeria last year for a brief vacation.
