Published: January 30, 2020
Chelsea loanee Victor Moses introduced himself to Italian fans when he made his competitive debut for Inter Milan as they beat Fiorentina 2-1 to advance to the semifinals of the Coppa Italia on Wednesday night.
The former Nigeria international came off the bench in the 74th minute to replace Antonio Candreva.
Speaking to Inter TV shortly after the game at the San Siro, manager Antonio Conte praised his new number 11 and former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen for quickly adapting to the team.
He said : "We'll keep going and prepare for a tough game in Udine, but we can also look at the positives, with Young slotting in, with a fine second game in which he showed character.
"That also goes for Moses and Eriksen, players who have just arrived and are fitting straight into an already very organised system with fantastic lads".
Former Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku was pleased that Inter Milan made it to the last four of the Coppa Italia and welcomed debutants Moses and Eriksen.
The Belgian posted on social media : "Semi-final boundπ€π Welcome @chriseriksen8 and @victormoses π―".
