Exclusive : Nigerian Striker Ighalo Joins Manchester United On Loan, No Option To Buy Included
Published: January 31, 2020Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Manchester United are on the verge of announcing the signing of former Nigeria international Odion Ighalo.
The Red Devils have reached a club to club agreement with Chinese Super League outfit Shanghai Greenland Shenhua after agreeing personal terms with the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Golden Boot winner.
Ighalo has put pen to paper on a loan deal until the end of the 2019-2020 season and is expected to fly to England in the coming days to begin his career with the famous Premier League club.
The 30-year-old is joining Manchester United on a dry loan, meaning an option to buy him outright has not been included in the deal taking him to Old Trafford.
Ighalo is making a return to the English Premier League exactly three years after he departed Watford, for whom he made 55 appearances in the top-flight scoring 16 goals.
The deal that took the former Granada and Udinese star to Manchester United was brokered by Norwegian-based Nigerian agent, Atta Aneke.
