Official : Werder Bremen Confirm Nigeria-Eligible Fullback Is First Summer Signing
Published: February 06, 2020German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen have officially announced the signing of Germany U21 international of Nigerian descent Felix Agu for the 2020-2021 season.
The versatile fullback, currently on the books of VfL Osnabrück will complete his transfer to Werder Bremen when the transfer window reopens for business in the summer.
Agu can sign a pre-contract with a new club because his contract with VfL Osnabrück expires at the end of this season.
"Felix is a young, talented player who can be used flexibly. We are pleased that he chose Werder despite other lucrative inquiries, " said Frank Baumann, Managing Director Football at Werder Bremen.
Werder manager Florian Kohfeldt added : "Felix has a good speed, a good passing game and a good development as a full-back in Osnabrück, which we at Werder would like to continue with him."
Comfortable playing as a right and left back, Agu has appeared in fifteen 2. Bundesliga matches this season and provided six assists.
