Former EPL Managers Mancini, Vialli & Koeman Watch Victor Moses Provide Assist In Milan Derby
Published: February 09, 2020
Former Premier League managers Roberto Mancini, Gianluca Vialli and Ronald Koeman were among the spectators at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (Milano) as Inter Milan came from two goals down to register a 4-2 win against AC Milan in the Serie A on Sunday night, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Vialli, Mancini and Koeman coached Chelsea, Manchester City and Everton respectively before moving onto pastures new.
Victor Moses featured in his first ever Derby della Madonnina, coming off the bench as a replacement for Antonio Candreva in the 80th minute.
In doing so, the former Crystal Palace and Wigan Athletic manĀ became the fifth Inter Milan player born in Nigeria to feature in the Milan derby after Taribo West, Nwankwo Kanu, Obafemi Martins and Joel Obi.
The Rossoneri were in control with a two-goal lead at halftime, scoring through Ante Rebic and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Antonio Conte's men showed resilience in the early stages of the second half as Marcelo Brozovic and Matias Vecino got on the scoresheet to bring them level.
At minute 70, Inter Milan took the lead for the first time on the night thanks to Stefan De Vrij's effort.
Former Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku nodded in to make it 4-2 in the third minute of stoppage time after Moses's brilliant pass to the back post, his first assist in Italian football.
Following their win, the Nerazzurri have replaced Juventus at the top of the standings thanks to their superior goal difference.
