(Photo Confirmation) Nigeria International Midfielder Joins CSKA Moscow

Russian Supreme Division Women champions, CSKA Moscow have informed through their official website that they have completed the signing of Nigeria international Ogonna Chukwudi.

The financial terms and length of the deal signed by the midfielder were not disclosed by CSKA Moscow.

Chukwudi played for Swedish clubs for eight years after leaving Nigeria in search of the proverbial golden fleece, first turning out for Umea, followed by spells at KIF örebro, Kristianstads DFF and Djurgårdens IF, for whom she made 18 appearances over the course of the 2019 season.

She was a member of the Super Falcons squad to the 2007, 2011 and 2019 Women's World Cups and made the roster for the 2006 FIFA U-20 Women's World Championship in Russia.

The 31-year-old is in contention to represent CSKA Moscow in the Women's Champions League in the summer.

Chukwudi, who represented Nasarawa Amazons before her move to Europe, can be deployed as a striker apart from her midfield duties.
