Official : Norwegian-Nigerian Defender Joins Bulgarian Club Lokomotiv Plovdiv

Bulgarian top-flight club Lokomotiv Plovdiv informs through their official website that they have completed the signing of Norwegian-born Nigerian defender Akinsola Akinyemi.
The center back, who last wore the colours of Sandnes Ulf in his country of birth, has put pen to paper on a two-year contract with Lokomotiv Plovdiv.
In his first words as a player of Lokomotiv Plovdiv, Akinyemi said : "I'm pleased to be part of the team already. The first day I joined the team of the training camp in Turkey, I was welcomed by all the football players and coaches.
"I look forward to this new challenge and endeavor for me. I hope to perform on a level and achieve something great with my teammates".
Akinyemi's other clubs he previously played for are Vålerenga, Drøbak-Frogn and Grorud.
The 26-year-old spent his formative years as a footballer at Holmlia, which produced former Norway youth internationals of Nigerian parentage, Ohi Omoijuanfo and Chuma Anene.
