Manchester United Great Andy Cole Pinpoints One Reason Ighalo Is Going To Do Well At The Reds
Published: February 12, 2020
Manchester United hero Andy Cole is backing Odion Ighalo to be a success after sealing a transfer to the Red Devils just before the transfer window slammed shut.
Cole believes the former Nigeria international will be a success at Old Trafford because he is a lifelong Manchester United fan and will want to prove it on the playing field.
Although Ighalo wasn't the world class striker demanded by United fans, the advantage he has is that he does not need time to adapt to the Premier League, having played for Watford for two and a half seasons before moving to China.
"That’s what we are hoping for," Cole told Goal at Marriott Hotels Seat of Dreams at Old Trafford.
"There are no doubts that he will do just that. He is a big supporter of the football club, he’s a fan. He wants to come here and do what he can for Manchester United, play to the best of his ability.
"He’s got Premier League experience from his time at Watford, he did well there. He made the move to China but he’s coming back to England and will give it everything he’s got.
"Being a Manchester United fan, he will want to prove that he’s good enough for the club."
