The Reason Ighalo Is Not Training At Manchester United's AON Training Complex
Published: February 13, 2020
According to reports emanating from the English press, Manchester United deadline day signing Odion Ighalo has been banned from training at the club's AON Training Complex due to fears of coronavirus.
The Times UK says the former Nigeria international was told to quarantine himself from United’s AON Training Complex for health and safety reasons.
Ighalo has been training at the Taekwondo Centre in Manchester since arriving in England from China in early February.
The incubation period, the period between the time of infection and appearance of the first symptoms, will end this weekend, allowing the Shanghai Shenhua loanee to join the squad ahead of a potential debut against Chelsea in the Premier League.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already named Ighalo on a provisional roster for the game at Stamford Bridge
Ighalo was omitted from Manchester United's warm-weather training camp because they feared the striker won't be allowed to enter the United
Kingdom should he travel to Spain with the squad as he has been in China
within the past fourteen days.
