Exclusive: Ighalo Named In Manchester United Matchday 18 Vs Chelsea But Has To Wait For Full Debut
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that ex-Nigeria international Odion Ighalo is on the cusp of making history tonight when Manchester United tackle Chelsea in a mouthwatering Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge.

The Shanghai Shenhua loanee has been selected in the matchday eighteen by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but has to wait to make his full debut.

Should he make an appearance off the bench, the former Watford goal poacher will become the first Nigerian player born home or abroad to play for Manchester United in the Premier League.

Academy products Nicky Ajose, Tosin Kehinde and Matthew Olosunde failed to debut for the Old Trafford outfit in the Premier League before moving onto pastures new.

Ighalo was signed by Manchester United in January to provide cover for the injured Marcus Rashford, who is not expected to return to action until April.

The Nigerian and his teammates will wear black armbands against Chelsea in tribute to legendary goalkeeper Harry Gregg, who passed away on Sunday at the age of 87.
