Confirmed : Scottish Club Livingston FC Sign 2013 Africa Cup Of Nations-Winning Defender
Published: February 18, 2020Through their official website, Scottish Premiership side Livingston FC have confirmed the signing of Nigeria international Efe Ambrose.
The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations-winning right-back has put pen to paper on an eighteen-month contract with The Lions.
Ambrose had been searching for a new club following his release by Championship outfit Derby County at the end of the 2018-2019 campaign.
The 31-year-old made over 250 appearances for Scottish clubs Celtic and Hibernian and has appeared in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League.
The former Kaduna United and Bayelsa United man has also represented Ashdod, from where he moved to Scotland in the summer of 2012.
For the remainder of the 2019-2020 campaign, Ambrose will wear the number 25 kit and he has been named in the provisional squad for Livingston's next league game against Hibernian on Saturday, February 22.
