Bukayo Saka Hype Reaches Fever Pitch As Barcelona, Man Utd Legends Jump On The Bandwagon
Published: February 24, 2020
Manchester United legend Gary Neville and ex-Barcelona striker Gary Lineker have joined the praise for Nigeria-eligible winger Bukayo Saka following his outstanding display in Arsenal's 3-2 win against Everton on Sunday evening.
His 27th minute cross for Eddie Nketiah's goal meant he has now provided four assists in his last five matches in all competitions.
The Hale End Academy product was supposed to be given a breather against the Toffees but manager Mikel Arteta was forced to introduce him off the bench on 19 minutes after starting left-back Sead Kolasinac suffered an injury.
"(Alex) Iwobi goes to sleep a little bit but he doesn't do too much wrong. But that cross, wow. There is not a lot a defender can do about that and neither can the goalkeeper," Mirror citing Sky Sports quoted Neville as saying.
"The quality of the cross was absolutely outstanding. All you want is your striker in that position and he (Nketiah) is. He gets a good contact on it.
"It's harsh to suggest that Arsenal fans were happy that Sead Kolasinac went off but there was a bit of a cheer. What a cross from Saka. I was having a mundane chat because I thought nothing was on."

Lineker added via Twitter : "Wonderful cross from the very exciting young talent that is Bukayo Saka. Expertly finished too by Eddie Nketiah."
Yesterday's assist was Saka's tenth in all competitions, with half of them coming in the Europa League.
