Manchester United's Best Loan Signing In History : Red-hot Striker Ighalo Gets A Mention
Published: March 08, 2020Odion Ighalo has had a promising start to his career at Manchester United and got a mention as United writer Adam Marshall published an opinion piece on the club's best loan signing in history.
If the former Nigeria international continues to silence his critics by scoring goals, he could end up being the best loan signing made by Manchester United.
Ighalo registered his name on the scoresheet three times in a space of seven days, helping Manchester United record wins against Club Brugge and Derby County in the Europa League and FA Cup respectively.
The Shanghai Shenhua loanee will be aiming to open his account in the Premier League in this evening's clash against Manchester City, having come close to doing so in previous games against Chelsea, Watford and Everton.
Marshall thinks Les Sealey is the best Manchester United loan signing and it will take some intervention from Ighalo to usurp the goalkeeper who earned himself a permanent move to Old Trafford the following season.
Other former Manchester United loan signings mentioned are Carlos Tevez and Henrik Larsson.
During his Watford days, Ighalo started three games against Manchester City in the Premier League without getting on the scoresheet and he'll be aiming to score today.
