Bruno Fernandes Beats Ighalo To Manchester United Player Of The Month
Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes has won Manchester United's Player of the Month award for March 2020, informs the Red Devils on their official website.

Odion Ighalo and two other Reds, namely Harry Maguire and Fred, had been in contention for the monthly accolade but lost out to the winter signing from Sporting Lisbon.

The former Nigeria international appeared in every single game contested by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side this month before football activities were postponed by the Premier League, Football Association and UEFA.

Ighalo was the most successful United player in terms of goal scoring in the period under review, netting three goals in his four appearances and provided an assist in the 5-0 rout of LASK in Austria.

The Shanghai Shenhua loanee has been praised by pundits and fans alike for his performances, and the impact he has made after less than two months has led to speculation that he has earned himself a permanent deal.

This month, Ighalo became the first Nigerian-born player to represent Manchester United in the FA Cup when he started against Derby County at Pride Park Stadium.
