Manchester City Run The Rule Over Super Eagles Striker Involved In 12 Goals In Croatia
Published: March 25, 2020Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City embarked on a scouting trip to Croatia earlier this month.
According to reporting by Club Call, a representative of the Citizens was in attendance at the Stadion HNK Rijeka as Rijeka beat Hajduk Split 2-0 on March 8.
Hajduk Split's Nigeria international Emem Eduok was given a chance to impress when he came off the bench in the 62nd minute, while the much-heralded Rijeka number one, David Nwolokor watched proceedings from the bench for the entirety of the game.
Eduok's move to Hadjuk Split last summer was one of the biggest transfer steals in Croatia, with the versatile striker costing a meager 250,000 euros.
The former Esperance star is thriving in the Croatian top-flight with nine goals from 22 appearances, making him the second top scorer in the team and he has a further three assists to his name.
The left-footed Eduok has a contract with Hadjuk Split until the end of the 2021-2022 season.
