'I Have Admired These Clubs Since I Was A Kid' - Osimhen Reacts To Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal Links
Published: April 03, 2020
Premier League clubs have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Victor Osimhen, with the Lille goal poacher saying that he admires all the English teams he is being linked with ahead of the 2020-2021 season.
The likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea have all been credited with an interest in the Nigeria international following his brilliant performances since his switch to the Ligue 1.
Though it has been widely mooted it would cost more than 80 million euros to prise the striker from Lille, his price tag could be affected by the coronavirus pandemic as even the big clubs have embarked on cost-cutting measures.
Asked to reveal his dream Premier League club, Osimhen told allnigeriasoccer.com : "For me the clubs that want me are really great clubs that I have admired since I was a kid.
"We will see what happens after the season or when the pandemic ends."
Osimhen has stressed that he has no regrets turning down a move to Arsenal five years ago even though things did not work out for him at Wolfsburg, whom he joined after starring at the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup.
"I have no regrets at all, I was glad I signed for Wolfsburg as at that time.
"Everything I’m doing now in terms of football, Wolfsburg set my path, I learned a lot there and also appreciate Josuha Guilavogui who really helped me during my time there and even continue to do so for me," added Osimhen.
The 21-year-old Osimhen has plundered 18 goals from 38 outings across all competitions this season while providing six assists.
