Chelsea Make Contact Over Signing 18-Goal Nigerian Striker Valued At Over N34 Billion
Chelsea have set the wheels in motion to sign Nigeria international Victor Osimhen, if we are to believe reports emanating from the French media.

Le 10 Sport claims the Premier League side recently contacted Lille over the availability of Osimhen and the much-coveted Brazilian defender Gabriel.

The Blues have done transfer business with Lille in the past, signing Belgium superstar Eden Hazard in the summer of 2012 and both clubs still maintain a good relationship.

Lille have repeatedly stated that they want Osimhen to remain at the club for at least one more season but interested clubs might overcome that hurdle if they make a bid in excess of 80 million euros (N34 billion), more than the fee they received from Arsenal for Nicolas Pepe.

In practice, Osimhen's transfer fee is expected to go down because clubs have lost income due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The 2019-2020 campaign has been a banner season for the former Wolfsburg starlet, who has racked up 18 goals in all competitions.

Osimhen has also been linked with possible moves to Real Madrid, Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United.
